Note thermostat settings.
Replace batteries in thermostat.
If more than one unit serving space, make sure units are numbered; in not, apply and record unit number. (Number front to back/left to right from front of building).
TURN POWER OFF VIA SWITCH.
Visually inspect heat exchanger for holes, cracks, rust through using screw driver to detect holes. If holes are detected go no further. Report to office for instuction.
Inspect & tighten all wiring and test all electrical components, e.g. relays, run capacitor.
Replace belt if present.
Replace filter (write date on filter).
Brush out blower compartment and economizer section.
Brush inside of heater and blower compartment.
Clean flame sensor.
Check and clean burner compartment (note amount of rust and/or defects).
Turn on unit.
Test each and every safety including flame rollout and limits.
Check inducer motor and blower for debris and bees nests.
Note burners are firing at even rate.
Check flame pattern with blower running. If wavy, this may suggest holes in heat exchanger.
Note Delta T.
Perform CO test on indoor air.
Secure all doors with new screws if old ones are rusty or loose.
Reset thermostat to original temperature and wipe down.
Make sure all switches and disconnects are turned back on.

Fill out service log, if not present attach to unit.
Place J&B foil label on OD unit if not already there. Replace existing label if worn.
Explain findings to customer and suggest any upgrades or replacements that are appropriate.
Advise customer that invoice will follow via email.

Populate work order on tablet. List all parts & materials used. Upload any images.
Note any work that needs to be done.
Note general condition of major components and approximate age of equipment.
