Note current thermostat settings.
Replace batteries in thermostat.
Turn cooling on and set to 60 degrees.
TURN POWER OFF and tighten all wires both at wire nuts and screw terminals on contactors, relays, and run capacitor. Check for visible signs of degradation and replace wire/parts as required.
Replace filter (write date on filter). If washable, wash filter.
ELECTRONIC AIR CLEANER, if covered: TURN OFF. Replace filter media. If washable, wash filter thoroughly with chemicals, rinse and reinstall. Instruct customer to TURN BACK ON the next day.
Brush inside and outside of heater or air handler.
Flush condensate pan and line with water. Blow out trap with water and CO2. Add pan tabs to coil pan and condensate pump.
Humidifier: turn humidistat to off, damper in duct, empty humidifier and clean. Replace pad.
Visually inspect contactor on condenser for signs of pitting. If there is pitting, replace contactor.
Check blower wheel. Clean with brush or nitrogen.
Clean debris from inside condenser.
TURN POWER ON and let system run for 5 minutes. Check temperature entering furnace or air handler at the return ducts. Record on tablet.
Measure the outlet or supply temperature of the air conditioning coil and record. If difference is greater than 25 degrees, look for an air flow problem or dirty filter. If difference is less than 17 degrees, suspect low charge. Then, check pressures. Check sub-cooling against chart if available. Add refrigerant if needed.
Wipe down condenser dirt and make it look nice. Wash coil and vacuum unit if necessary.
Reset thermostat to original temperature and wipe down.
Make sure all switches and disconnects are turned back on.
Screenshot Model & Serial Numbers for new customers or for existing customers when parts or replacement unit is needed.
Fill out service log, if not present attach to unit.
Place J&B foil label on OD unit if not already there. Replace existing label if worn.
